Can I get Dani Designs Co curtains with thermal insulation?

Yes. We now offer Thinsulate 200, which can be added to the inside of your curtain to provide thermal insulation for more heat and cold control, reducing energy costs. Message us for more information.

Does Dani Designs Co make more than just door curtains?

Yes. We started out years ago making just door curtains, and that is still one of our specialties. But we also offer RV and Airstream, classroom safety, window, garage, office and bathroom curtains as well.

What size of door curtain should I order?

We generally recommend that the curtain be about 3” wider and 4” longer than the glass itself, to ensure full coverage. For example, if the glass portion of your door is 24” wide by 68” tall, we’d suggest a finished curtain size of 27” wide by 72” long.

What if my door handle is close to the edge of the glass?

We recommend a finished curtain size that goes right up to touching the door handle, but does not overlap. So in this case, your finished curtain size might be less than 3" wider than the glass.

Can I install my curtain higher up on the door so more glass is exposed?

Yes, you can install the curtain higher on the door so that more glass is exposed when the curtain is in the rolled up position. Be sure to not go higher than you can reach. The curtain also looks better if you don't go higher than the valance hangs down. You'll need to enter a finished curtain size that includes the higher installation.

How do I measure if I'm installing the curtain on a window?

If installing on a window, when doing and outside mount, we recommend a finished size that is 3" wider and 4" longer than the casing of the window. If you are doing an inside mount for a recessed window, we recommend doing a finished curtain size the exact size of the opening. (sheetrock to sheetrock)

How do I order a custom size door curtain?

To order a custom size, please select the finished width size (left to right) you want under the Finished Width Range dropdown menu. Then select the finished length size (top to bottom) you want under the Finished Length Range dropdown menu. Then put the exact finished curtain measurements in the Curtain Measurements box.

For example, to order a curtain sized 28” wide by 65” long, one would select the ‘26-31" wide (left to right)' and then the '51-65" long (top to bottom)' option, then put ‘28”Wx65”L’ in the Curtain Measurement box.

How are the curtains installed?

Our curtains install using hook and loop fasteners. The ‘hook’ side has an adhesive backing which attaches directly to the door (or window frame), and the ‘loop’ side is sewn directly onto the back of the curtain. See this short video for illustration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ekaunyYWo0

We can also make the curtains with a rod pocket for installation on a curtain rod, upon request. You can request a ‘rod pocket’ in the order notes. (Curtain rod not included)

The sliding glass door curtains are made with a rod pocket, for installation on a curtain rod.

Are all Dani Designs Co curtains blackout?

No. All our curtains provide privacy, but are not made with a blackout liner unless you order a blackout liner (NOTE: Some curtains are automatically made with blackout and will specifically be stated as blackout in the title of the listing). To have a blackout liner sewn in the curtain, change the Blackout Liner option from no to yes. The blackout liner fabric is sewn inside the curtain, between two layers of the curtain fabric, so the curtain fabric shows to the inside and outside. You do not see the blackout liner.

Are Dani Designs Co curtains machine washable?

They can be. We now offer a Pre-Washed/Pre-Shrunk option. If you choose not to order the pre-washed, then we recommend spot cleaning only for the majority of our fabrics, using a mild detergent and rinsing the affected area, or using a spot cleaner spray. Machine washing will not damage the curtain per se, but will cause the curtain to shrink up to several inches, if it has not been pre-washed and pre-shrunk.

Some of our polyester fabrics are machine washable will say “washable” in the title.

How can I protect my fabric from sun damage?

We offer the option for us to UV spray your curtain. Please select 'Yes' on that option.

What is UV Spray?

If you select ‘Yes’ under the UV Spray option, we will treat your window covering with a UV protectant spray before shipping. This will help to keep it from fading under direct sunlight. Darker fabrics in particular are prone to fading when exposed to sunlight over time. You will need to reapply a UV Spray after 2-3 years.

I can see the straps hanging from the back of the curtain; are they removable?

Yes, the straps which are used to hold up a French door curtain when it is rolled/folded up are detachable, so you have the option to remove them when the curtain is down.

How long will it take for my curtain to be delivered?

We guarantee shipping within 1-2 weeks of ordering (2 weeks for large orders). We normally use USPS 2-5 day shipping within the US. If you need your order by a certain time, let us know and we will try to accommodate you. But, please be aware that we do not have any expedited shipping options available at this time.

How do I contact you?
